Olly and Molly
Olly and Molly are two web-connected robots dispensing custom scents and candy treats. When a creative brief tasked them to "make something connected to the Internet that doesn't live on the screen," Foundry, a small research team at Mint Digital, came up with Olly, a scent-based system rewarding social media activity or, as they describe it on their site, a "web-connected smelly robot." With your help on Kickstarter, the team hopes to get Olly and Molly out in the world!

Olly
Olly links up to web-based social applications and emits a fragrance, one that you choose when receiving emails, re-Tweets, instant messages, and various other pings across the channels of social media. Exploring the notion that smell is one of our most under-used senses in an over-stimulated world, Olly is a modular system that will have its own website from which the user can customize the way the smelly robot responds to web stimuli.
You can fill Olly with any smell you like, such as your partner’s perfume or an essential oil. He's also stackable, meaning you can have different smells for different notifications.

Molly
Molly is the lateest addition to the Ollyfactory family, and operates in a similar way to Olly. The user can customize various modules to assign different fragrances to different alerts.
She is a module that turns your tweets into sweets by counting how many times you get retweeted, then releasing a tasty candy when a number you've set is reached.
You can stack Molly and Olly together to release sweets and smells, or set Molly to count a number of re-tweets with our simple app.

While Olly works around a cerebral sense, Molly is about indulgence. The robot pair is sold on Kickstarter for $50 each. The project will only come to fruition if they make the goal of $35,000 in 10 days.
