Fionn Regan

Young Irish singer-songwriter Fionn Regan has done well for himself. His first album, "The End of History," was released in 2006. Four years later, after Lost Highway refused to release an album Regan refers to as "The Red Tapes," came "The Shadow of an Empire." Now his latest, "100 Acres of Sycamore," is available as a physical release in the United States on Heavenly/Cooperative. In the meantime, Regan has collected many accolades and glowing reviews. When Gillian Welch calls you "his generation's answer to Bob Dylan," then you've truly arrived.

These two selections are a good introduction to Regan. "Put A Penny In The Slot" is a masterpiece of melody and stream-of-consciousness lyrics, and "Be Good or Be Gone" is every bit as catchy.
