The fighting between the Kenya government, with the support of the Somali government in Mogadishu, and Al-Shabaab militants in the south of the country is worsening the world's most horrible humanitarian crisis. The U.N. is estimating that one third of the populace, 3.7 million Somalis, are on the threshold of starvation while aid agencies are having difficulty getting supplies to those needed as they have had to reduce their operations due to a number of high profile kidnappings of aid workers.
