Strikes against new austerity measures in Greece has led to widespread strikes throughout the capital city of Athens as metro workers, bus drivers, tax collectors and even members of the finance ministry have all initiated work stoppages. The "troika" of the IMF, EU and European Central Bank all quit working with Greece earlier this month in frustration and have said that the new bill, which includes a property tax and salary cuts, was necessary for the next round of funding for Greece.
