Public sector workers in the health industry, schools, police and border patrol staged a nation wide strike in the United Kingdom against austerity measures that would see retirement pay drop while the retirement age would increase. The strikes have not had much effect on travel throughout and into the country, while emergency care was still occurring in the country.
