Yields on bonds Spanish and Italian bonds increased today with Italy going over the crucial benchmark of 7% and Spain moving up to 6.3%. Similarly, the yield spread between German bunds and the bonds of other nations grew as well. Overall growth for the eurozone was 0.2% this last quarter, stoking fears that the region would go into a recession.
