Gaddafi defiant, rebels poised to strangle capital
Libyan Rebels have seized the coastal town of Zawiyah which is 30 miles west of Tripoli. The town is the supply point to Tripoli from Tunisia and rebels should now by able to cut of access to food and fuel to the capital. Gaddafi appealed to his supporters on state T.V. to fight back against the "traitors" and NATO and vowed that their time was at an end. Reports also indicated that rebels had seized the town of Surman next door to Zawiyah and that there was fighting in Garyan, which controls access to Tripoli from the south.
