Iran Sought Miniaturized Nuclear-Weapon Design
The Iranian nuclear program tried to shrink a Pakistani design for a nuclear weapon so that it would be capable of fitting on top of one of its Shahab-3 missiles which has the range to hit Israel. According to the IAEA report, Iran worked on developing the explosives necessary to detonate a nuclear weapon while also developing a neutron generator which starts the chain reaction in a nuclear explosion.
