links Italy Sells Bills at Highest Rate in 14-Years
A total of €5 billion of Italian government debt was sold at 6.087% today, the highest auction price in 14 years for the securities. Italy will have to keep buying bonds in the future as the country has €200 billion in bond redemption next year, yet the country has $1.9 trillion in total debt which is larger the debts of Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Greece together.
