Libyan NTC chief’s ‘liberation’ speech raises eyebrows
The head of Libya's National Transitional Council has said that the country's future legal code will be based on Islamic Shariah law and that banking within the country will follow the Islamic model which prohibits charging interest. Furthermore, polygamy will be reinstated in the country though a widespread vote on this issue could change whether or not it is practiced.
