Russian FM: New Iran Sanctions Aimed At Provoking Popular Discontent
Sergei Lavrov said today that sanctions against Iran are a futile exercise as they had gone as far as they possibly could and that their only use at this point would be to drive up popular discontent in the country. He said that military action would have "catastrophic" consequences involving refugees and religious violence between sects.
