Syria Signs Arab League Deal to Allow Observers In

The Syrian government will now allow observers from the Arab League to monitor the situation in the country for one month, though the observers will not be allowed to visit military installations. Over 5,000 people have died in the country's crackdown on dissent that began in March of this year, and the Syrian opposition movement has said that it would like other Arab states to intervene in order to stop the bloodshed.
