Syria death toll tops 3,500, UN says
At least 3,500 people have died in Syria since the beginning of the unrest that is gripping the country, this according to a U.N. report. Syrian authorities are presently launching an offensive on the city of Homs, using tanks and heavy weaponry to attack protesters.
