A number of Syrian army troops that have defected to the opposition have attacked a Syrian intelligence complex outside of Damascus, in the boldest move yet by forces opposed to Bashar Assad's regime. Fighting under the banner of the Syrian Free Army, which is based in Turkey, opposition forces have increased their attacks sharply in the last 10 days, in addition to an increase in defections by soldiers.
