EU to slap new sanctions on Iran's officials and firms
The European Union has initiated sanctions against the Iranian regime, including the freezing of financial assets and travel bans against members of the regime. EU foreign ministers did not agree to enact an oil embargo against Iran because some of the countries are dependent on Iranian oil.
