Turkey’s Worst Quake Since 1999 May Have Killed 1,000 Near Iranian Border
A 7.2 magnitude earthquake has hit Turkey on its border with Iran as 217 people have been confirmed dead with officials saying that the death toll could be as high as 1,000 people. The earthquake is the most powerful in a decade to hit the nation and the U.S., NATO and Greece have all pledged aid to the country.
