links U.N. considers call for Assad to step down
The U.N. is considering a draft resolution this week which would call for Syrian president Bashar Assad to step down from power. The resolution comes as Syrian troops are attempting to take control of a suburb of Damascus with 2,000 troops and 50 armored vehicles. So far 19 people have been killed during the crackdown in the Kfar Batna suburb.
