US cuts UN funds on Palestine vote
The U.S. has cut out all funding for UNESCO, the United Nations body that is tasked with promoting human rights, literacy and protecting historic buildings due to Palestine's admittance to the group. The move was initiated by a U.S. law passed in the 1990's that bars the government from giving any funds to a U.N. body in which Palestine is a member.
