The U.S. Senate Majority leader and the U.S. Speaker of the House have announced their members for the 12 member debt panel, the super committee assigned with coming up with $1.5 trillion in spending cuts and savings. Mitch McConnell, the Senate Minority leader has also named his 3 members to the panel and now the remaining 3 members of the panel must be decided on by Nancy Pelosi. The choices have drawn a good amount of cynicism as many of them are viewed as either very partisan or being ideologically opposed to any sort of tax increases or deficits.
