Inspector General: U.S. wasting cash in Iraq
The U.S. is spending only 12 percent of the funds allocated for training Iraqi police to actually train them with the rest spent on security for the trainers. The U.S. Inspector General for Reconstruction has said that program is unfocused and possibly wasteful. The State Department took control of the program on October 1 but has yet to fully implement it.
