Obama Pushes Economic Policy on Midwest Bus Tour
While on his Midwest bus tour, President Obama, pushed back against those who say he is not doing enough about unemployment and the economy. After the Congressional Recess in September, Obama plans to submit a plan to Congress to help the economy including an extension of the payroll tax cut and to get Congress moving on a number of trade bills. He also stated that Republican opposition to tax cuts was "not common sense" and that the American people are sick of Congress playing political games. With unemployment at 9% and slow growth in the U.S. and Euro-zone Economies, Americans are looking for leadership from the President on the issue.
