Peru - Chile border closed due to landmines
The Peru-Chile border was closed early Monday morning, due to the possibility of anti-personnel landmines in the area. The passage between Arica and Tacna was restricted after local authorities feared the recent heavy rains, and overflow of local creeks, could have shifted nearby landmines.
