Protest on Web Uses Shutdown to Take On Two Piracy Bills

A number of prominent websites are actively protesting today over the Protect IP Act and the Stop Online Piracy Act, which they say can be abused by media companies to shutdown sites indiscriminately. Google, Facebook and Wikipedia have all come out against the bills and will either shutdown or have messages against the proposed laws on their sites.
