Australia lifts ban on women in military combat roles
Australia has said that women will no longer be banned from combat roles but that it will take about five years for the measure to be fully implemented in the army. Currently women can serve in 93% of the roles in the armed forces and now will be able to fill the remaining 7% as long as they are fit enough to do so.
