Bangkok’s Governor Calls for Sandbags as Floods Besiege Thailand’s Capital

The Governor of Bangkok appealed to the government for 1.2 million sandbags to help the city deal with the possibility of water seeping over damns upstream of the Thai Capital. The government of Thailand is hurriedly constructing temporary levies as the eastern part of Bangkok is flooded under 1.6 feet of water.
