China solar panel factory shut after protests
A solar panel factory in Zhejiang province has been shut down after large protests over the leak of high amounts of fluoride into the local water supply that resulted in the death of a number of fish. The deputy director of Haining's environmental protection bureau said that the factory had failed waste disposal tests since April and local government officials stressed that there would be an overhaul of the waste disposal methods at the plant.
