IMF’s Lagarde Warns of Risk of ‘Lost Decade’
IMF chief Christine Lagarde warned that nations should pursue pro-growth strategies together or else there was the possibility that the world could experience a lost decade of low growth. Madame Lagarde said that China should increase its consumption while also allowing its currency to rise. She maintained that though Asia is experiencing robust growth, a slow down in advanced economies could negatively impact developing countries.
