Khmer Rouge trial begins in Cambodia
Three leaders of the former Khmer Rouge regime are set to go to trial in Cambodia over charges of genocide and crimes against humanity. The trial is being orchestrated by a UN-backed tribunal and will deal with the defendants involvement in the deaths of 1.7 million people during the regime's four year reign between 1975 and 1979.
