Russian plane carrying top hockey team crashes, 43 reported dead
A Russian plane carrying the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl team crashed on Wednesday near the city of Yaroslavl, about 150 miles northeast of Moscow, killing at least 43 people. The team was heading to Minsk to play a game when the plane crashed on takeoff. A number of international stars from countries throughout Eastern Europe play on the team and at present it is unclear which individuals were on the plane when it crashed.
