Supporters donate towards Ai Weiwei's tax bill
Chinese activist and artist Ai Weiwei has received hundreds of thousands of dollars from supporters to pay his $2.4 million tax bill, imposed upon him after he was arrested by the government. The prominent artist maintains that he is being persecuted for his political beliefs and has said that the charges against him are baseless.
