U.S. forces amass on Afghan-Pakistan border, ready for attack on feared Taliban faction
U.S. and Afghan forces are massing on the border with Pakistan in a suspected drone offensive against members of the Haqqani network which is closely affiliated with the Taliban. The operation is being done jointly with the Pakistani military who will attempt to drive the militants out of Pakistan and into Afghanistan where coalition forces will target them.
